When the ship first commissioned, it was decided that she would produce a monthly newsletter.  This would be distributed to all next of kin free of charge.  It served to keep families in touch and was a constant link to home when the ship was on overseas duties.

Since this association has been set up, a quarterly newsletter has been produced and sent out to every member.  The format has been modernised since its conception way back in 1971, but the content remains the same, friendly and informative, to be enjoyed by every member of the family.
